Samsung has commenced the rollout of a long-awaited software update for the Galaxy M34 on Monday, the 11th of December. This latest update introduces the highly anticipated One UI 6.0, the brand’s fresh user interface based on Android 14. Although currently available to users in India, the company aims to extend its availability to more countries in the near future.
The update, carrying firmware version M346BXXUBWL1 and weighing 2.27 GB, brings significant enhancements. Alongside the revamped operating system, it incorporates the November 2023 security patch, addressing over 70 vulnerabilities of varying severity identified by Google and Samsung in the previous version.
It’s worth noting that in the preceding year, Samsung seemed to follow a more expedited update pattern, with just a one-month gap between releases internationally. For instance, the Galaxy S22 received the One UI 5.0 update based on Android 13 in the market within a month of its initial launch in the United States.
Beyond One UI 6.0, Samsung is gearing up for additional features with a potential update to One UI 6.1. Speculations suggest that this forthcoming update will mark the debut of the Galaxy’s AI suite tools. It’s expected that this update will be available for all models compatible with One UI 6.0.
In order to check for updates on your Galaxy device, simply navigate to the “Settings” app, scroll down to “Software Update,” and tap on “Download and Install.” It’s always recommended to back up your data before initiating the update process and ensure that the device is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
