Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5 Could be Launched in 2024

The tech giant Samsung is gearing up to unveil its latest tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5. Following the release of the Tab Active 4 Pro in October last year, this new addition is anticipated to hit the markets soon. Recent developments indicate significant progress as a 10,000 mAh battery received certification from SafetyKorea.

The forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5 has now seen its Wi-Fi and 5G variants certified by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), with documentation unveiling crucial details about its charging capabilities, storage, and S Pen integration.

As per the listings, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 will arrive in two versions. One will support 5G with the code SM-X306B, while the other will be a Wi-Fi-only model with the code SM-X300. Both variants will offer internal storage of 128 GB and expandable microSD card support of up to 64 GB. Additionally, the tablet will be S Pen compatible and will come with a 15W charger.

While one of the images showcases the device undergoing testing, the angle limits visibility of its design, though it seems to sport a gray or black color scheme. Unfortunately, there’s no further information available regarding the tablet. However, upcoming certifications in the following weeks are expected to disclose more specifications of the Galaxy Tab Active 5.

Speculations suggest that the tablet might inherit some features from its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro. As a quick recap, the former boasts a 10.1-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G platform, Adreno 642L GPU, up to 6 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of internal storage.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5’s recent FCC certification hints at an imminent debut. Although the tablet’s name hasn’t been confirmed officially, the certification signifies a potential launch just a few months after the previous generation’s one-year mark.

According to reports from GSM Arena, a photo revealing the device’s battery, though unclear, bears the model number EB-BX306GBY. It’s speculated that like its predecessor, the Active 5 might also feature a removable battery. Both Wi-Fi-only (SM-X300) and 5G-enabled (SM-X306B) versions are anticipated, accompanied by an included S Pen stylus.
